Frequently Asked Questions
Every product you see on this site is the
real, physical product we have on hand. Nothing about the product itself is AI generated
or altered.
Some backgrounds may be AI-enhanced or generated to help show a
piece in context.
The product itself is never touched. If you ever have a
question about a specific photo, reach out and we're happy to clarify.
We also
use AI to edit copy, because sometimes we don’t write so good.
Yes we currently ship to Canada and will be adding Europe in the coming months.
While each Curator Wall Mount supports up to 15 lbs, in practice weight is rarely the deciding factor in using two or more mounts. Additional mounts are used to improve visual balance, angle and overall stability. With two or more mounts, the branch can be oriented freely, allowing the installation to feel intentional, secure, and architecturally composed.
Bottom line: For most branch sizes and shapes, two mounts are the ideal choice.
We are in California. Nationwide orders take up to a week to process and package depending on customization, if any, then it will take 5-7 business days to arrive. So expect 2 to 3 weeks for anything requiring prep work or custom packaging.
All of our branches are natural, and typically dried, sandblasted and bug treated. Botanicals is a broader term, used to denote dried grasses and stems in addition to branches.
It can hold up to 15 lbs at full extension, depending on how far away from the wall the object is. The closer to the wall, the more weight it can handle.
Artefact Curator products are engineered for long-term indoor use. They may be used outdoors; however, exposure to moisture and the elements will result in surface rust over time. We guarantee all structural components to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of delivery. If a component fails under normal indoor use, we will repair or replace the defective part at no charge.
We work exclusively with sustainably sourced natural forms, never artificial replicas. We treat them a low-toxicity insecticide to keep your space pest-free. Most are sandblasted to remove loose bark and reveal the wood's natural architectural character.
If you select an individually photographed grapevine or branch, you will receive that exact piece.
For products offered by size or style rather than as individually photographed pieces, you will receive a carefully selected specimen that matches the species, scale, and overall character shown.
Because every piece is created by nature, no two are ever identical. Expect variations in shape, branching pattern, texture, and tone—these natural differences are what make each Artefact Curator piece one of a kind.
Indoors, they typically last many years if kept dry and out of direct sunlight. Over time, subtle fading or small shedding can happen—normal for natural materials.
Minimal care is required. Dust with a dry cloth, or for a deeper clean, simply loosen the set screws and slide the branch free from the wall — inner rod and all — hose it off outside, and let it dry completely before reinstalling. Avoid furniture polish or chemical cleaners.
Absolutely — we encourage it. Some of the most striking installations come from branches foraged the backyard, a hiking trail, or along the road. Most people walk past extraordinary natural forms every day without noticing them.
The Wall Mount exists precisely to give those found forms a home. A dramatic branch that's been weathering in your yard for years, an interesting piece of driftwood, an unusual botanical from a local market — mounted properly, these things can anchor a room in a way no purchased object can.
Panels can hold up to 100 lbs, depending on how the panels are installed. If the mounting rail is properly anchored, and if objects mounted on the panel are not levered too far out into the room, they can hold up to 100 lbs. Call us if you want to discuss a specific use case.

Yes. Artefact Curator is designed as a flexible display system rather than a permanent arrangement. Branches, botanicals, sculptures, and found objects can be changed, rotated, or replaced at any time, allowing your collection to evolve with the seasons, your space, or your inspiration.
